1. Developer and scope
This policy applies to RingSplode, Android package com.orionwavesstudio.ringsplode, provided by OrionWavesStudio. Contact: orionwavesstudio@gmail.com.
The app does not read your real call history, intercept calls or access your address book. It does not request GPS location. A country prefix or a caller number entered for a simulation is not a request for your actual phone number. Third-party services may estimate a general location from your IP address.
2. Local content and actions you choose
- Caller names, numbers, countries, avatars, expressions, themes and scripts; references to photos and sounds selected with Android pickers.
- Schedules, simulated-call history, favourites, achievements and app settings.
- Audio files created with the former Witness feature may remain in the app’s local storage after an update. From version 2.2.2, RingSplode no longer offers microphone recording or requests microphone permission. Existing files can still be played, shared or deleted through the available app functions; they are not automatically uploaded to OrionWavesStudio.
- A local purchase status and temporary rewarded-access information. Purchase verification also communicates with Google Play.
There is no OrionWavesStudio server synchronising your profiles or recordings. Exporting, sharing a profile or QR code, or sending a recording is your choice; the selected destination then handles that content under its own rules. Profile exports do not include the imported photo or sound files. Avoid putting sensitive information into a profile you intend to share.
RingSplode disables Android cloud backup in its manifest. Device-transfer behaviour may depend on Android and the manufacturer. The app’s transfer rules exclude recordings; manually exported files and other copies remain wherever you save them.
From version 2.2.2, shake and screen on/off triggers have also been removed. The app no longer monitors those actions to trigger simulations.
3. Advertising, analytics and diagnostics
Google AdMob: ads are used in Free access, including optional rewarded ads. Its SDK can transmit IP addresses, advertising/app identifiers, ad interactions and technical performance data to Google for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. An IP address can indicate an approximate location. These identifiers are not necessarily anonymous. Premium access does not display ads.
Firebase Crashlytics: sends crash details, app/device metadata and installation identifiers to Google for reliability monitoring. Firebase’s associated installation and session libraries can process installation identifiers and session metrics. Diagnostic records are not guaranteed to be anonymous.
Google Analytics for Firebase: the app includes this SDK, which can collect automatic usage events, app-instance/device identifiers and app/device information for usage measurement, including screen/session and purchase events and an approximate location inferred from network information. Buying Premium does not itself disable Firebase diagnostics or analytics.
Firebase Remote Config: the SDK is included. When it retrieves configuration, it can process installation identifiers and technical context such as language, country, time zone and app/system versions to deliver settings. Inclusion alone does not mean every available feature is used.
The SDKs do not need the content of your saved profiles or recordings for these purposes. RingSplode does not intentionally attach that content to its analytics or crash reports.
Details: AdMob data disclosure, Firebase data disclosure, Analytics data disclosure and Google Privacy Policy.
4. Purchases and support
Google Play processes the one-time, lifetime Premium purchase. RingSplode receives product, purchase-status and purchase-token information needed to verify, acknowledge and restore access. It does not receive your payment-card number or Google password. Google handles the payment and retains its transaction records under its own policies.
If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send, solely to handle your request and any related legal obligations. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary recordings.
5. Permissions and choices
- Notifications, full-screen access and exact alarms: incoming-call presentation and scheduling, subject to Android permissions and restrictions.
- Camera access: the optional ringtone torch effect, not automatic photo or video capture. Imported images use system selection.
- Do Not Disturb access: the optional quiet-mode feature.
- Vibration, wake lock and reboot events: simulated ringing and recovering schedules. The microphone and special-use foreground services used by the former recording and gesture triggers have been removed.
- Network access: Google Play, ads, Firebase services and links you open.
You can revoke permissions in Android settings. Some features may then be unavailable. Battery settings can affect background behaviour.
The advertising consent form appears where required by Google’s consent system. Advertising requests are gated by that system’s permitted-request status. Privacy choices are available in the app’s settings when the provider requires them. Refusing personalised advertising does not necessarily eliminate every technical processing operation associated with limited ads. Android also provides advertising-ID controls.
The advertising form does not, by itself, switch off Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. This policy does not promise a separate in-app switch for those services.
6. Retention, deletion and security
Local profiles, history, retained audio files and preferences remain until you delete them using available app functions or clear the app’s storage. Uninstalling normally removes app-owned data. Delete exported files and shared copies separately; removing a local profile does not delete a copy held by a recipient. Clearing local data does not cancel or erase a Google Play purchase.
Technical data held by Google is retained according to the relevant service policies and configuration; it is not erased merely by uninstalling RingSplode. For privacy requests about data we control, contact us. We may need information sufficient to identify the relevant record, without requesting your password. Support messages are kept as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations.
The app uses Android’s application storage protections. Google’s AdMob and Firebase services document encrypted network transport. No storage or transmission method offers absolute security. Google may process service data internationally under the safeguards described in its policies.
7. Your rights and children
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data and object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, it can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us to exercise rights concerning data we control. You may also contact your competent data-protection authority, including the CNIL in France.
RingSplode is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us so that we can investigate and handle the request.
8. Updates and related information
The update date is shown above. This policy may be revised to reflect the app and its services. A policy update does not replace any consent required by law. See also the Terms of Use.
